Principal's Corner

Welcome to Folwell Elementary School. My name is Todd Kieffer and I am in my fifth year as the Principal of this historic building. Folwell staff and students place a great deal of attention on treating all people with respect. The Folwell staff has developed SOAR Expectations to guide student's choices for behaviors throughout the day.  The Folwell Staff is committed to children and making sure that their individual needs are being met so they can prosper academically, as well as, socially and emotionally. We are a neighborhood school that provides 1/2 day everyday kindergarten. AM Kindergarten is from 9:15-11:50 and PM Kindergarten is from 1:00-3:35. Students in grades 1-5 receive specialist instruction in the following areas: Music, Physical Education, Art, and Media. Students also receive 20 minutes for lunch and 20 minutes for recess each day. When school and home work together, WE will make a difference in the life of your child.
